A fun painting entitled: Toast painted by Prague-born Austrian artist: Gabriel Cornelius Ritter von Max (1840-1915). He took a prominent interest in all things metaphysical, studying Asian spiritual philosophy, Darwinism, & parapsychology. His use of monkeys in several artworks alludes to the idea that we all sprung from a base creative nature, despite our afforded sense of segregated status that lies, like the Emperor's new clothes, as an invisible barrier between one and another. The primate appears to be making a great point. It's probably because he looks so confident.
