Good grief - 3B still works! This 3D Web viewing technology dates from 2005. You can still read the site at http://faq.3b.net/ and probably download and install the viewer.
So what do you get in 3B? You can run your avatar around "rooms" and click posters in those rooms., which will either transfer you to other rooms (like the "Airport"), show you a flat version of a website, or take you to a custom 3D room fill of poster/links. You used to be able to create one of those custom rooms but I suspect that's broken now. Gee, I wonder why it never caught ? ;)
I used this for part of Return to Second Life (see http://seconds.thecomicseries.com/comics/211/). It seemed a bizarre destination back then, and still does now.
