I got to muck about building a revised "Beta Base". The new one is roughly the same volume, but has improved OH&S features, like NOT having a runway go through the ops deck (much better on the roof) and the runway elevator only going down into the garage - putting it in the middle of the warehouse wasted space and increased the risk of someone falling over the raining.
The control tower goes over the external goods lift and the platforms on either side of the runway will have a mixture of solar panels and sheds.
