On a whim I decided to log into vSide (see http://www.vside.com/app/start) and see if anyone was there. There was, and we chatted for a while! It transpired that we'd both checked out similar virtual worlds including Exit Reality, Kaneva, and There.com (see https://www.there.com/). And we both agreed that There.com was the most fun. I might finally get around on checking on that one day (though it's $10/mo to use regularly).
